Jewelry Care
CARING FOR YOUR JEWELRY
Sterling silver can tarnish due to exposure to oxygen. When not worn, jewelry is best stored in an air-tight container such as a zip-closed plastic bag.
To clean jewelry, first wash all oils and debris from jewelry using warm/hot water, dish soap, and an old soft toothbrush(avoid brushing pearls), then dry jewelry.
If needed, a jewelry cleaner such as Tarn-X is recommended.
If there are stones or pearls, DO NOT dip the whole piece of jewelry. Using a cotton swab or small paint brush, apply cleaning solution to sterling around stones and pearls, while carefully avoiding them.
Also, AVOID getting any jewelry cleaner on areas that are oxidized black with a patina.
Always rinse your jewelry thoroughly with sudsy water and dry well after using a cleaning solution.
